Rice Krispies
Apparently, people didn't know that Rice Krispies came from rice. So at JWT, I worked on a press ad brief to tell a product story about how they were made. From rice. Honest. To me, this is an example of how words and images should work symbiotically: create an intriguing visual to hook people in, headline then draws you into the copy (I didn't need to be too clever in this headline as the visual is doing the heavy lifting). Then seal the deal with an interesting story in the body copy. And if you've got them reading that in the first place, you've done half your job.
